- Title
CONTROL OF BULB SCALE MITE WITH ENDRIN.
- Authors
Collingwood, C. A.
- Abstract
This article provides information on the control of bulb scale mite with endrin. Mite infested bulbs of the variety King Alfred, which were infested with Tarsonemus laticeps Halb., were boxed on October 16, 1957, and left out of doors. They were brought into a heated glasshouse on January 10, 1958, and were treated. There is some circumstantial evidence from this work, and that of other observers, that most of the foliage distortion and flower suppression occurs through the great increase of mite activity which follows after the bulbs have been brought into heat.
