This article reports on political developments in Thailand, which is regaining stability after a coup of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in September 2006. Thaksin was ousted due to his anti-democratic policies and allegations of corruption. The military government in power has yet to determine when elections will be held and democracy restored.
