The article critiques the later novels of Ronald Firbank, focusing on "Inclinations." Topics addressed include the revelation of "Inclinations" of total independence from virtually all previously-established techniques of narrative rhetoric, the symbolic implications of the work, and Firbank's intense aestheticism and overtly homosexual thematic features.
