- Title
Historic Coral Collapse on Great Barrier Reef.
- Abstract
The article reports on the evidence revealed by the Australian marine scientists on the historic coral collapse in Queensland's Palm Islands after development on the near mainland. Scientists at the University of Queensland states that the rapid crumbling of the coral community is possible evidence of the link between man-made changes in water quality and the loss of corals on the Great Barrier Reef. According to Professor John Pandolfi, corals have died from natural events such as tornadoes.
