- Abstract
The author discusses the argument of I. Vachalová, L. Kyavar, J. G. Heckmann regarding the pitfalls associated with herpes simplex encephalitis virus (HSE) diagnosis. He mentions that the authors were right on their argument regarding the importance of performing immediate lumbar puncture. Moreover, he says that the clinical presentation of HSV encephalitis is not limited to symptoms which are associated with temporal or frontal lobe injuries.
