- Abstract
The article discusses the medical guidelines offered by the Canadian Urological Association (CUA) for the investigation and management of azoospermia in Canada. The organization has conducted a study about the effectiveness of assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) with male factor infertility so that the number of mature eggs produced by women would increase using exogenous hormones. Based on the results of the study, it found that absence of obstruction of the vas deferens, epididymis or ejaculatory ducts were the common genetic abnormalities in azoospermia. Information regarding the importance of luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels is also considered.
