In this article, the author discusses the laboratory phonology and socio-phonetic variation. He mentions on the differences between the structure of social meaning and regular semantic meaning based on the arbitrary form-meaning pairs and labels of internal structure. He stresses the various interpretations of vowel quality, listening perception, and language acquisition under gender and culture.
