- Abstract
The article discusses the case Unlu v Air Canada which deals with the ability of a consumer to rely on the British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, a consumer protection statute, when dealing with an alleged deceptive practive by the airline company Air Canada. The consumer claims that the airline committed a decptive act by misrepresenting an amount for a fuel surcharge as a tax on his tickets. The ruling of the court on the case is also discussed.
