- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated the nutrient and decomposition dynamics in Spartina (S.) alterniflora salt marsh found on the Bahía Blanca estuary in Argentina. The study evaluated carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) dynamics in the marsh. It notes that the low decomposition rates discovered at the site could be attributed to the detritus' chemical composition.
