- Title
The Effect of Curing Method on the Dimensional Stability and Fracture Resistance of Double-Cured Denture Bases.
- Authors
Zissis, A.; Polyzois, G.; Yannikakis, S.
- Abstract
The article focuses on dimensional stability and fracture resistance of a denture base material. It is stated that the adaptation of denture bases is gradually lost due to changes occurring in the supporting tissue. The use of permanent baseplates and the relining of denture bases require the denture base to undergo another curing procedure, which may lead to unfavorable dimensional changes. It is stated that dimensional stability and fracture resistance should be considered while recuring a denture, or making a new denture.
