- Abstract
The article focuses on the approach of the International Organization of Securities Commission (IOSCO) to short selling regulation. It suggests that the absence regulatory standards may lead in information asymmetry among jurisdictions, which leaves for short selling arbitrage hindering market efficiency. It urges the IOSCO to address concerns arising from the dissonance in short selling disclosure regulations by implementing consistent disclosure and reporting standards.
