- Abstract
This essay analyzes periodical discussions of a cluster of novels concentrated on issues related to theology and religious experience published in the 1880s using digital search tools adapted from the works of Ed Finn. Topics discussed include the use of network analysis by Finn to investigate the connection between U.S. author David Foster Wallace's work and other novels and authors. Also discussed is the network of associations among theological novels and the creation of a genre.
