- Abstract
The article offers information about the U.S. Supreme Court case Berghuis v. Thompkins which involved the right to remain silent. It provides analysis of the legal issues of protections for silence under the precedent court case Miranda v. Arizona, the majority opinion of the Court, and the effect of the Court's decision on the constitutional rights of suspects under the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
