- Abstract
The article examines the laws related to patient's right to die and laws that protected right to refuse unwanted medical treatment under the Due Process Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Topics discussed include Living Will under Louisiana law; need for reform in this area of legislation; and ways to enforce laws that protect the patient's right to choose which emergency medical procedures will be performed in critical moments of incapacitation.
