- Abstract
Hairy roots of Panax quinquefolium L. were induced from the root explants of two-year-old Panax quinquefolium L. by Agrobacterium rhizogenes A4 with directly inoculating. The growth speed and ginsenoside content of hairy root of Panax quinquefolium L. affected by phytohormones (6-BA, NAA), precursors (Mg (Ac)2, L-leucine) and elicitors (MJA,SA) and the combination of MJA and SA were studied. The contents of ginsenoside Rb1 have been determined with the method of high performance liquid chromatography. The feasible xenobiotics could promote the saponin accumulation, especially the MJA.
