- Abstract
The article discusses the need for medical directors to advocate for physician assistants (PAs) and encourage others to accept the PA model of practice. Topics discussed include the importance of educating elected and appointed officials about PAs and their role in the U.S. health care system, the need to encourage physician colleagues to see the value PAs add to health care and the American Academy of Physician Assistants' (AAPA) advocacy toolkits.
