- Abstract
The article discusses research investigating the diet plasticity of the generalist predatory fish species the South American sea lion (Otaria flavescens) in the northern part of Chile. Topics include the influence of prey species distribution and spatio-temporal variations in the prey abundance on the variability of O. flavescens' diet, analysis of the stable isotopes carbon-13 (δ13C) and nitrogen-14 (δ15N) in hair and skin tissues, and prey species.
