- Abstract
The article reports on the use of a Renishaw inVia confocal Raman microscope, equipped with a polarized light microscope and 785 nm an 532 nm lasers, by the Conservation Department of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Netherlands for its conservation activities. The use of Raman spectroscopy combined with other analytical methodologies enabled researchers such as Jolanda van Iperen to explore the relationships between the use of paint materials by contemporary artists.
