- Abstract
The article reports on the appointment of a consortium by the British Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) to manage the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and feasibility study for the proposed Severn Tidal Power Plant. The consortium comprises of engineering consultants, marine experts and the British Environment Council. According to Peter Kydd, director of planning and environment at Parsons Brinckerhoff, the two-year study will evaluate the benefits and impacts of power generation from tidal range technologies.
