- Title
Ecological transcriptomics of lake-type and riverine sockeye salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka).
- Abstract
The article offers information on a research regarding the gene expression of riverine sockeye salmon. It compares morphology and gene expression in natural juvenile sockeye populations related to river and lake habitats. It mentions that riverine sockeye has deep, robust bodies and lake-type shallow streamlined bodies. According to Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis, biosynthesis category is enriched in riverine population whereas metabolism category is enriched in lake type population.
