- Abstract
This research aimed to investigate the transposition between the listener and speaker functions in undergraduate during the acquisition of new words and the effect of successive training on the transposition of these functions. Two experiments were conducted, the first one sought to verify whether undergraduates students would show the transposition between the listener and speaker functions. The second experiment examined the effect of the amount of successive training on the transposition of the same functions. In both experiments, the students initially did not have shown the speaker function tested after listener function training, which is according to the literature with participants with atypical development and children. It was observed the effect of successive training on the transposition between speaker and listener functions for part of undergraduates in both experiments, mostly in Experiment 2. The results suggest that the transposition of speaker and listener repertories in adults depends on environmental factors, including, successive training.
