- Abstract
The article examines the depiction of masculinity and friendship in William Shakespeare's "Henry IV," "The Hollow Crown" and the Royal Shakespeare Company's "King and Country: Shakespeare's Great Cycle of Kings." It investigates the manner in which Shakespeare's fictional character Ned Poins was represented as queer. It also examines the depiction of queer love and homoeroticism in "The Hollow Crown" and "King and Country."
