- Title
Characterization of Processing Effects in HIPS-CNF Composites Using Thermogravimetric Analysis.
- Authors

- Abstract
The articles discusses polymer composite carbon nanofibers (CNF's), focusing on measuring the effects of solvent processing and twin-screw extrusion (TSE) on such elements by use of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Factors measured include temperature at peak weight loss rate (TPWLR) and weight loss rate (WLR). Topics include the effect on the composite's TPWLR due to shear rate extrusion, the connection between the type of processing used and the effect on its thermo-oxidative behavior, and choosing the appropriate process for the desired polymer-CNF composite.
