- Abstract
The article discusses research by a team from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China which presented a photonic crystal fibre fiber optical parametric oscillator (FOPO) with high conversion efficiency to show the feasibility of FOPOs as practical light sources. Topics include factors attributed to the high efficiency of the research team's design, the team's expectation on the first applications of its work, and the efforts to improve the design.
