- Abstract
The author reflects on the technology assessment in the U.S. He states that closing of the U.S. Congress Office of Technology Assessment was inappropriate as it had experts. He states the 'participatory technology assessment' (pTA) model which was included in the report by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington D.C. will not be easily to follow. He comments that pTA responsibilities should be assigned to established organizations to avoid manipulation.
