IMPORTÂNCIA DA COMUNICAÇÃO PARA UMA ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM DE QUALIDADE: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA.

This article aims to characterize the scientific production of the last five years about the importance of communication for the care provided by nursing, and to investigate the influence of communication for quality care. The method used was an integrative review research, of a descriptive nature, carried out in February 2020, through electronic search in the VHL and Scielo databases. A total of 21,150 publications were found, of which 70 were evaluated after applying the filters, and finally 15 articles were selected to compose the present study. It was observed that effective communication is a valuable work tool for nursing, enabling reception, humanization, treatment acceptance, patient safety, favoring the multiprofessional environment, contributing to the continuity of high-quality care. It is concluded that the view of the aspects of the communication barriers highlights the need for the improvement of professionals regarding new forms of communication, such as Libras, and the importance of dialogue in the team so that the information about the patient is passed on, contributing to quality assistance.
