- Abstract
The article reflects upon the role of sharing children’s picture books about death and grief with students in elementary education to initiate open-ended discussions. It mentions use of books in classrooms to create opportunities among students to collectively talk about death and grief and discusses the theme of death in the books "Duck, Death, and the Tulip" by Wolf Erlbuch and "The Heart and the Bottle" by Oliver Jeffers.
