- Abstract
The article presents literary criticism of the book "Love" by Toni Morrison. Particular focus is given to Morrison's treatment of memory and trauma in the novel. Details on themes of witnessing and testimony in the book are presented. According to the author, Morrison's book shows that only those people who can escape from a cycle of unproductive memory can heal and engage with the future. Other topics include separation and the psychological concept of screen memory.
