The article discusses the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit's ruling in the 2012 case Lin v. U.S. Attorney Gen. which deals with the nation's Illegal Immigration reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, as well as a departure bar regulation which prohibits departed resident aliens from filing motions to reopen their removal proceedings.
