- Abstract
Van der Woude syndrome, considered as the most syndromic facial fissure, is a genetic disease of autosomal dominant inheritance that among its manifestations presents fistulas in the lower lip and is later accompanied by cleft lip and/or palate. Also within its manifestations it is common to find hypodontia, abnormalities in eyes and extremities, as well as possible congenital heart disease. The aim of this article is to define and explain the manifestations of Van der Woude syndrome by presenting a clinical case and literature review.
