- Abstract
In academic discussion it is a prominent idea, that physical education at school (P. E.) has to be interpreted and arranged according to Pedagogical Perspectives such as Cooperation or Performance. The study examines the question of how P. E. teachers' practices comply with the associated demands respectively which differences point to implementation difficulties. Therefore academic demands and reality of P. E. were surveyed by using qualitative content analysis of documents, interviews and video observations. The comparison between demands and reality shows substantial gaps concerning several aspects (e. g. reflexive capability). In professionaltheoretical research view the identified differences can be traced to constitutive antinomies (e. g. openness vs. control).
