The article discusses the role of prosecutorial discretion in the selection of cases by the International Criminal Court (ICC) Office of the Prosecutor (OTP) with particular focus on crimes involving powerful nations. Topics explored include the structure and jurisdiction of the ICC, the prosecutorial strategy demonstrated by ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan in response to the American airstrikes in Afghanistan, and the indictment of former Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir by the ICC.
