- Abstract
The authors describe the potential of social media as a means of improving cancer awareness in Japan. The number of internet users in the country was over 101 million according to statistics from December 2011. Cancer health care providers in Japan and at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the U.S. made a dance video in 2013 inspired by the song "Fortune Cookie in Love." Former newscaster Mao Kobayashi revealed her breast cancer on her blog titled "KOKORO."
