- Abstract
This article presents a discussion on the trends in corporate income taxes by several members of the Financial Executive Institute's Committee on Taxation. The participants are William G. Dakin, supervisory tax counsel, Mobil Corporation; Frederick L. MacDonald, assistant general tax counsel, General Motors Corporation; Mark L. McConaghy, Price Waterhouse, Office of Government Services; and Gillian M. Spooner, Peat Marwick, coauthor of The Corporate Tax Burden in the United States. McConaghy believes the deficit is the nation's number one economic problem. Many of them argue against corporate taxes.
