- Abstract
H.Arendt, one of the important political philosophers of the 20th century, has remarkable determinations and suggestions about education. While Arendt puts forward his thoughts and suggestions about education, he first starts from the concept of natality as the essence of education and the hope that natality brings. However, natalitiy refers to the plurality and conditions of action it brings. For Arendt, education is where we understand the world as it is. One must understand the world and its reality as it is, without any guidance. After this understanding, education should also have a purpose for the child to gain and develop thinking skills. Thinking is an important skill for humanity, and education is the most important place to bring this skill to children and society. Therefore, educational institutions should be aware of this responsibility. This study is the most important purpose of education with an Arendtian eye; aims to emphasize the importance of the development of comprehension and thinking skills.
