- Abstract
In this article, the authors focus on inhibitory effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 inhibitors on osteogenic differentiation in canine cells produced in vitro. They inform that a canine POS osteosarcoma cell line has showed continuous proliferation of alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-positive cells when treated with COX-2 inhibitors such as carprofen and meloxicam. They also mention that inhibitors inhibited osteoblast-like differentiation of POS cells.
