The article discusses a seminar titled "Popular Diets-what is the evidence?" organized by the British Nutrition Foundation and chaired by a registered dietitian Sue Baicon which was held in London, England on January 8, 2014. The conference discusses various studies conducted by researchers including Michelle Harvie, Gary Frost and Mark Berry. Topics discussed include challenges of obesity in Great Britain, role of low glycaemic index diets in weight loss and strategies to prevent weight loss.
