- Abstract
Steve Waitschat is an industrial chemist who works mostly from home and spends a lot of time with his two sons. He appreciates the flexibility offered by his employer to make both his work and family life easier. After completing his studies, he got involved in the GDCh-Jungchemikerforum (JCF) and was elected to the federal board. After obtaining his doctorate, he worked as a chemistry teacher at a private school and participated in the "Jugend forscht" competition. Eventually, he joined Clostermann & Jasper, an auditing company specializing in sustainability. He mostly works from home and visits clients only one to two days a week. Waitschat values the freedom and flexibility in his work, even though he often has long workdays. He is proud to have taken the challenging path and looks forward to the future with his family.
