- Title
Hochschuldidaktik: Oberflächenverstärkte Effekte auf Gold‐ und Silberelektroden.
- Abstract
The article describes the use of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) in university internships to measure low concentrations on electrodes. Experiments from a course for bachelor students in physical chemistry are presented, in which redox reactions on gold and silver electrodes can be measured both electrochemically and spectroscopically. The combination of electrochemistry and optical spectroscopy enables electrogenerated chemiluminescence. In addition, the surface-enhanced Raman effect is described, in which the intensity of scattered radiation in Raman spectroscopy is enhanced by a finely distributed metallic surface. Achim Habekost is a professor of chemistry and its didactics at the Ludwigsburg University of Education.
