- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 52-year-old man presented in November 2014 with a painful skin eruption associated with eyebrow alopecia. His physical examination was found to have follicular erythematous shiny papules and confocal microscopy examination was performed on the spicule, showing a distended hair follicle, filled with keratin plugs. Trichodysplasia spinulosa-associated polyomavirus (TSPyV) was detected in lesional skin by using polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
