- Abstract
The article discusses the history of the Seminary and Institute (S&I) program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) in Taiwan. Particular focus is given to the improvement and expansion of educational programs and facilities. Details on the efforts of educator Alan Hassell and his family and staff to found Taiwan's first S&I classes are presented. Topics discussed include teacher training and turnover and educators Wang Lu Pao and Wan Kon-Leung
