- Abstract
The article discusses the effects of home office on the workplace as a learning environment. Possible negative consequences of location- and time-independent collaboration on collective learning and interaction in the workplace are addressed. The increase in home office can impair the innovation and transformation capabilities of companies. The question is also raised as to whether the characteristics of workplace learning can be transferred to virtual settings. The article also deals with the concept of connectivism as a theoretical framework for networked and digital learning. It emphasizes that the workplace as a place of work and learning remains central and that co-determination in this area needs to be redesigned.
