- Abstract
The article focuses on emerging technologies in the field of ophthalmology for structural evaluation and management of glaucoma. These include the swept-source optical coherence tomography (OCT), adaptive optics-scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (AO-SLO), and a noninvasive real-time imaging technology called detection of apoptosing retinal cells (DARC). Several ophthalmologists who offer insights on such technologies are Herbert Reitsamer, Joel S. Schuman, and Masanori Hangai.
