The article presents a survey of U.S. federal and state expert testimony standards in regards to the reliability of eyewitnesses as of September 2011, including an analysis of juror confidence in eyewitness testimony and an assessment of the grounds for exclusion. The impact of racial bias on the eyewitness identification process is also examined.
