- Abstract
A literary criticism of th neo-slave novel "The Known World" by Edward P. Jones is presented. Topics include African American slavery, intra-racial subjugation, socioeconomic status, abjection, slavery in the Bible, and racial hierarchy. Also examined are the portrayal of homosexuality, the psychopathology of slavery, and slave trade operations.
