- Abstract
The article discusses the aircraft company Consolidated Aircraft Corporation, focusing on its operations in San Diego, California during World War II. It comments on its merger with Vultee Aircraft of Los Angeles, California, to create the conglomerate Consolidated-Vultee Aircraft Corporation, or Convair. The author examines women's war work at the factory.
