- Abstract
The Colombian armed conflict has had an impact on all the population's life dimensions, including their biopsychosocial health; thus, it is relevant to assess how this topic has been addressed, and the instruments used to measure mental health indicators. This research reviewed scientific article's approach mental health indicators of population exposed to armed conflict, which used instruments for that purpose. A scoping review of scientific articles was carried out following the PRISMA methodology and using the CADIMA software. The bibliographic search was made in Web of Science, Scielo and Scopus databases, using key terms in both English and Spanish. 21 articles which used 53 instruments were analyzed, the most applied being the AUDIT and the CIDI-CAPI. Most of the works sought to characterize mental health in different victimized populations, finding diagnoses such as post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and substance use. Few studies of validation or construction of instruments were found. It is necessary to develop and validate tests to evaluate the effects of the conflict on mental health in Colombian victim populations that go beyond the diagnostic emphasis and allow a better assessment of those consequences.
