- Abstract
The article discusses research investigating changes in invertebrate assemblages inhabiting Lessonia spicata (Phaeophyceae) kelp holdfasts following an earthquake on February 27, 2010 in Chile that caused a coastal coseismic uplift. Topics include the abundance of the anemone Phymactis clematis and the mussel Perumytilus purpuratus in non-uplifted (NH) holdfasts, the ecological implications of events such as earthquake-induced coastal coseismic uplift, and ecological succession.
