- Title
Nanobiotechnology: A microscopic endoscope.
- Authors
Evanko, Daniel
- Abstract
The article offers information on the invention of a microscopic endoscope by the group of Peidong Yang from the University of California at Berkeley. They converted a lightlight-carrying nanowire into a microscopic endoscope to be used on single living cells. The nanowire probes that resulted, have two major capabilities: localized delivery and localized imaging. Yang mentioned the possibility of placing the quantum dots in the desired place in the cytoplasm or the nucleus
