The article presents a speech by Lieutenant General Charles N. Pede delivered at the symposium "The International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg: Examining Its Legacy 75 Years Later" held at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia on November 19, 2021. Topics discussed include the notion of discarded moral compass and values-based lawyering, importance of virtue to lawyers, and responsibility faced by lawyers involved in the Nuremberg trials.
